While Laurie and Maggie have been photographing boudoir shoots separately for the last couple years, they decided to team up when they realized they both were drawn to the same kind of boudoir photographs such as those cinematic shoots where the woman is sexy hot, yet elegant and beautiful at the same time.
Why Photograph Boudoir?
Laurie: The first time I photographed a client's boudoir session, I felt such a high when I saw the client's reaction to her image in camera. She couldn't believe it was her. For the rest of the session, her confidence grew and she left feeling like a million bucks. To know that I helped to contribute to that feeling makes my job one of the best on earth.
Maggie: As a child in my mom's high heels I'd squeeze my eyes tight and imagine being a woman. I'd pucker my red smeared lips in the mirror, twirl pearls around my finger and practice my "walk", perfume trailing behind my steps. I dreamed of the day when my knobby knees transformed into the legs of a woman, when I had the freedom of choice for the length of my hair, the style of my clothes, the direction of my life.
Boudoir allows us to live out these visions of womanhood.
Laurie, Revealed
1.) She loves to laugh and does it often.
2.) She's a Bravo T.V. channel and True Blood addict.
3.) Once she turned 30, she no longer cares who sees her dancing. She does enjoy a good "shake her boo-tay" song.
Maggie, Revealed
1.) Loves bringing people together. "I think she's great, and you will too..."
2.) Travels at every opportunity, even if time only permits the neighborhoods of Chicago.
3.) She makes a mean tortilla soup.
Expect lots of laughter and silliness from these two during your boudoir session. After all, being photographed should be fun.
